Web 2.0 applications have changed how people see the Web. The tools that individuals are using in their personal lives are now making their way into the workplace - turning Web 2.0 into Enterprise 2.0. Just as email and IM are part of our online lives whether we're at home or at work, social networking, blogs, wikis and RSS feeds are moving into the enterprise environment.

Emakina Network's approach is so refreshingly obvious it seems radical. We've gone right back to the underlying social behaviour and created innovative software that harnesses human instincts instead of disabling them. We describe this process of mirroring social behaviour in software as "Social Computing".

Applications

Emakina Network has a rich feature-set. These include blogging, wiki, forums, a file repository (with podcasting capabilities), online profiles and network, communities, an RSS feed reader and aggregator, bookmarks sharing and an integrated messages center. Additionally, all of a user's content can be tagged with keywords, so that they can connect with other users who have similar interests.
